Bulldogs score first win of season

The Batesville High School varsity football team defeated Milan by a score of 27-20. The Bulldogs led by seven points and stopped the Indians on the final drive of the game to preserve the victory. Batesville scored the first 14 points of the game only to have the Indians score the next 14 to tie the game. A 56 yard pass play from quarterback Dylan Shane to Trenton Jordan put the Bulldogs out in front 20-14 in the third quarter. After another Milan score, Shane gave the Bulldogs the lead with a 5-yard touchdown run. Brady Wonnell added the extra point to make it 27-20. Offensively, the Bulldogs had 263 yards of offense. Shane was 6-of-10 passing for 140 yards, while Zadiin Small carried the ball 16 times for 99 yards and two touchdowns.
