Mason Jones collected three hits in three at bats, as Batesville Varsity Bulldogs defeated Columbus East by a score of 5-2. Jones doubled in the third inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the sixth inning. The Bulldogs took the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Rylan Yeager doubled to right field, Ronan Post singled to center field, and Brayden Maple walked, each scoring one run. Carson Schneider earned the win for Batesville. The starter allowed four hits and two runs (zero earned) over four innings, striking out eight and walking one. Dane Dudley threw three innings of scoreless ball for Batesville earning the save. The hurler allowed one hit, striking out four and walking two. The Bulldogs amassed nine hits in the game. Post went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Schneider collected two hits for Batesville in four at bats. The Bulldogs didn't commit a single error in the field. Maple had the most chances in the field with nine.
