Batesville High School

The Batesville High School junior varsity baseball team posted a 10-0 victory over Union County. Michael Linville, Eli Denni, and Jackson Elston combined for four of the team's eight hits in the victory. They scored three runs and drove in three. The Bulldogs scored five runs on two hits in the top of the fifth inning. Elston singled, scoring one run, Denni drew a walk, scoring one run, and Linville hit a sacrifice fly, scoring three runs. Tiago Batta earned the win on the mound for the Bulldogs. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking one. Elston, the number seven hitter for Batesville, led the way with two runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Denni, Levi Hunt, and Elston each collected two hits for the Bulldogs. Preston Blessing and Batta led the team with two walks each. Batesville collected five stolen bases for the game.
