The Batesville Bulldogs suffered a 10-5 loss at home to New Palestine. New Palestine led to 5-3 in the top of the third inning. New Palestine added five runs on four hits in the top of the seventh inning. Josh Borgman took the loss for Batesville. The righty went four innings, giving up five runs (one earned) on eight hits, striking out three and walking one. Will Jaisle drove the middle of the lineup, leading Batesville with two runs batted in. The 3-hole-hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Carson Schneider set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading the Bulldogs with two hits in five at bats. Brayden Maple paced Batesville with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up 10 walks for the game. Batesville Varsity Bulldogs will travel to East Central for their next game Monday. The Bulldogs are now 3-1 on the season and 2-0 in the EIAC.
