Batesville High School

The Batesville girls varsity basketball team improved to 11-6 on the season with a 58-37 win over Switzerland County. The Pacers got out to a good start and led the Bulldogs 15-14 at the first break. Batesville regrouped and outscored Switzerland County 17-5 in the second quarter to take a 31-20 lead into halftime. The Bulldogs had four players score in double figures. They were led by Alyson Peters with 17 points followed by Marlee Obermeyer with 16. Madelyn Haskamp and Sophie Gesell added 11 and 10 points, respectively. Haskamp led the team in rebounds with 14, while Nora Wiedeman had a team-high three assists.
