The Batesville junior varsity football team continued their impressive start to the season with a convincing 28-0 victory over South Dearborn. The Bulldogs' strong defensive performance and timely offensive plays led to a shutout win, improving their record to 2-0. Kaden Vogelsang had a standout performance. Vogelsang blocked a punt and recovered it for a touchdown. He also added a rushing touchdown and a two-point conversion. Carson Benjamin returned an interception for a touchdown. Dylan Shane also had a strong offensive performance, scoring a touchdown and a two-point conversion. The Batesville defense was dominant throughout the game, holding South Dearborn to zero points. Aiden Greiwe and Kaden Vogelsang led the defense with multiple tackles for loss, while the entire unit came up with a crucial goal line stand, stopping South Dearborn inside the 1 yard line on back-to-back plays. Dylan Orozco also had a block punt that helped set up the Bulldogs' offense.
