Batesville High School

The BHS varsity baseball team defeated Connersville 4-0 on Saturday, April 27. Batesville got on the board in the first inning after Chris Lewis hit a solo home run to right field. Carter Bohman earned the win for the Bulldogs. The right-handed pitcher gave up four hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking none. Lewis led Batesville with two hits in three at bats from the leadoff position. Alex Krekeler paced the Bulldogs with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting six walks for the game. Batesville turned one double play in the game. The Bulldogs didn't commit a single error in the field. Krekeler had the most chances in the field with seven.
