Batesville High School

The Batesville Bulldogs got a big effort from pitcher Jack Grunkemeyer in an 8-1 victory at Greensburg. Grunkemeyer struck out 12 batters en route to the victory. Grunkemeyer surrendered two hits and one run over seven innings, while walking two. The Bulldogs scored four runs in the first inning and four runs in the seventh. Batesville piled up nine hits in the game. Grunkemeyer provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Batesville with three runs batted in. The clean-up hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Brayden Maple, Krekeler, and Eli Loichinger each collected two hits for the Bulldogs.
