Batesville High School

The Batesville High School boys varsity basketball team picked up a 56-52 conference win at home against the Greensburg Pirates. The Bulldogs led 10-7 at the end of the first quarter and stretched it to 32-19 by halftime. The Pirates bounced back with a better offensive effort in the second half, but could not make up the difference. Gus Prickel was was 5-of-10 from behind the 3-point arc en route to a team-high 23 points. Cade Kaiser and Sam Johnson were also in double figures with 13 and 10, respectively. Jack Grunkemeyer and Johnson each had five rebounds, while Trenten Luers led the team with four steals. Kaiser, Johnson and Grunkemeyer all finished the night with four assists.
