Batesville High School

The Batesville High School boys varsity basketball team suffered a 56-53 loss to Columbus North in the opening round of the Batesville Invitational. The Bulldogs jumped out to a fast start and led 19-11 at the end of the first quarter. Columbus North cut the margin to 29-27 by the end of the first half. After extending the lead to four points, the Bulldogs were outscored 16-9 over the final eight minutes. Three players scored in double figures for the Bulldogs. Gus Prickel and Cade Kaiser each had 13 points, while Sam Johnson added 11. Trenten Luers, Jack Grunkemeyer and Johnson each had six rebounds.
