Batesville High School

The Batesville High School boys varsity basketball team suffered a 85-52 loss at Southwestern (Hanover). The Bulldogs got off to a slow start and could not get caught up. Southwestern scored 24 first quarter points and led by 16 at the end of the first quarter. Batesville was better offensively it the second quarter, but still lost ground and trailed 43-21 at halftime. The Bulldogs had three players score in double figures. Cade Kaiser led the way with 13 points followed by Gus Prickel with 12. Trenten Luers added 10 points. Jack Grunkemeyer grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.
