Maple leads Bulldogs at Union County

The Batesville High School golf team is off to a fast start to the 2026 season. The Bulldogs placed second at the Union County Invitational with a team score of 353. Richmond (335) claimed the team title. Stella Maple led the way for Batesville. After carding a 40 on the front nine, the BHS sophomore finished with a 32 on the back for an 18-hole total of 72. Her score was second best on the day. Alexis Gallagher was second on the team with an 85, while Grace Saner (91) and Adelyne Koehne was third with a 105. Other scores for the Bulldogs were Makenna Moore (118) and Caroline Wiedeman (119). Union County (356), Monroe Central (368) and Franklin County (372) rounded out the top five teams.
