Batesville High School

The Batesville High School tennis team recorded a 3-2 win at Columbus East. The Bulldogs were winners in two doubles matches and one singles match. Ava Walsman and Grace Walter teamed up for a 6-4 and 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles over Ava Tartt and Audrey Bush. Liv Maddock and Maddie Haskamp were 6-0 and 6-1 winners at No. 2 against East's Stefani Christopher and Zoe White. The third win of the match for the Bulldogs was recorded by Aurora Mertz a No. 3 singles. Mertz defeated Bruna Carreira 6-2 and 7-5. Addie Fledderman lost in straight sets at No. 2 singles as did Grace Gutzwiller at No. 1. In junior varsity play, the Bulldogs swept all six matches. Ellie Westerfeld/Addie Reding, Ella Carpenter/Brynlie Oesterling and Lyla Struewing/Miki Gutzwiller were all two-match winners.
