Bulldogs record 5-0 win at FC

The Batesville Bulldogs defeated Franklin County 5-0 on Monday at Franklin County as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Rylan Yeager and Brayden Maple each pitched for the Bulldogs. Maple induced a fly out from Drake Fredrick to get the last out. Batesville got on the board in the top of the third inning after Ronan Post singled to right field, and William Huber walked, each scoring one run. Yeager earned the win for Batesville. The pitcher gave up one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out four and walking none. Maple collected the save. Post and Noah Weigel each collected two hits for Batesville. Post led the team with two runs batted in. The shortstop went 2-for-4 on the day. Weigel stole two bases. Batesville was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Preston Blessing had the most chances in the field with six.
