BHS softball falls to Franklin County

The Batesville High School softball team was defeated 10-4 by Franklin County. The Bulldogs scored two runs in the top of the fifth on a home run to left field by Harris. Stephens stepped in the circle first for Batesville. The starter gave up 10 hits and 10 runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out eight and walking four. Harris led Batesville with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The right fielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Grace Copley and Harris each collected two hits for the Bulldogs.
