Bulldogs beat Spartans 8-4

The Batesville Bulldogs defeated Connersville by a score of 8-4. Connersville was the first team to get on the board in the second inning. Batesville flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring five runs on five hits to take the lead, 5-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Preston Blessing that drove in two. Carson Meyer earned the win for the Bulldogs. The pitcher allowed five hits and two runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out eight and walking none. Brayden Maple appeared in relief for the Bulldogs. Blessing, Dane Dudley, Meyer, William Huber, Ronan Post, Noah Weigel, and Jackson Peetz each collected one hit for Batesville. Blessing, Dudley, and Post each drove in two runs. The Bulldogs had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game. Blessing, Dudley, and Post led the team with two bases on balls each.
