BHS junior varsity falls 4-3

The Batesville junior varsity lost 4-3 at Union County. The Bulldogs got on the board in the second inning after an error scored one run. A single by Landon Grossman extended the Bulldogs lead to 2-0 in the top of the third inning. Union County Junior Varsity Patriots tied the game in the bottom of the sixth. Eli Doll started the game for Batesville. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out four and walking three. Michael Linville, Grossman, Doll, Lane Higham, and Max Meyer each collected one hit for Batesville . Grossman went 1-for-4 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Batesville Junior Varsity Bulldogs ran wild on the base paths, collecting four stolen bases for the game. Batesville turned one double play in the game.
