The Batesville High School varsity baseball team defeated North Decatur by a score of 14-1 on Tuesday at Batesville. Preston Blessing earned the win on the mound for the Bulldogs. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out two and walking one. Lane Higham began the game for Batesville. The righty surrendered three hits and one run over two innings, striking out one and walking three. Batesville accumulated nine hits in the game. Maple provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Batesville with three runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Carson Meyer and William Huber each collected two hits for the Bulldogs. Batesville had patience at the plate, amassing nine walks for the game. Maple, Dane Dudley, and Ronan Post led the team with two walks each. Batesville Varsity Bulldogs move to 3-1 on the season
