BHS basketball tops Lions 73-35

The Batesville High School varsity boys basketball team posted a 73-35 win over Rushville. The Bulldogs led 27-10 at the end of the first quarter before pulling away in the third quarter by outscoring the Lions 27-11. Batesville entered the fourth quarter up 54-21. James Hughes scored a game-high 20 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and handed out four assists to lead the way. Brayden Maple was second on the team in scoring with 13 points, while Kamryn Holcomb added 11. Trenten Luers had four assists and five rebounds.
