The Batesville High School Bulldog wrestlers closed out the 2025 calendar year at the prestigious Connersville Spartan Classic on December 30 and 31. Competing in the largest in-season tournament in Indiana, which featured a 45-team field, the Bulldogs finished 31st overall and saw two athletes reach the podium. Eight Bulldogs represented the program during the two-day event: Carson Weiler, Adam Dance, Charles Kline, Kaden Lamping, Adam Brewer, Huston Cook, Isaac Enneking, and Drake Glaub. The team showed its depth early on, with Adam Dance, Huston Cook, and Isaac Enneking each recording individual match wins. Leading the charge for Batesville were Adam Brewer and Carson Weiler, who both went undefeated on the first day to advance to the championship rounds. Weiler finished the tournament with a strong 5-2 record to claim fifth place, while Brewer delivered a standout performance, finishing 5-1 to secure a second-place finish. The Bulldogs’ performance against some of the state's top-ranked programs highlights the team's continued growth and competitive spirit, according to coach Alex Brewer.
