Bulldogs score 95 in win over Eagles

The Batesville High School boys varsity basketball team posted a 95-73 win at home against Jac-Cen-Del. The Bulldogs scored 19 points in the first quarter and then 28 in the third to take a 47-34 lead into halftime. Batesville put the game out of reach with 29 more in the third. The Bulldogs shot 55-percent from the field and 78-percent from the free throw line in the victory. James Hughes led the was with 33 points and seven rebounds. Trenten Luers (16), Kamryn Holcomb (12) and Brayden Maple (12) were also in double figures for the Bulldogs. As a team, the Bulldogs connected on 15 three-pointers.
