BHS girls knock off Seymour 35-31

The Batesville High School girls varsity basketball team traveled to Seymour and picked up a 35-31 victory. The Bulldogs led 10-4 at the end of the first quarter and extended it to 16-9 by halftime. The Owls rallied late in the game, but the Bulldogs were able to hold on for the victory. Maggie Jelinek and Kaylin Kathmann led the Bulldogs offensively with 14 and nine points, respectively. Molly Gesell and Jersey Trenkamp each added nine four points. Jelinek also had a team-high 12 rebounds.
