BHS girls defeat South Dearborn

The Batesville High School girls basketball team posted a 50-15 victory over South Dearborn. The Bulldogs jumped out to an 18-2 first quarter lead and extended it to 35-8 by halftime. Molly Gesell led all scorers with 15 points followed by Maggie Jelenik with 13. Jelenik grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds and recorded five steals. Leah Meyer was second on the team in rebounds with seven. The Bulldogs are now 1-1 on the season.
