BHS girls open with loss to New Palestine

The Batesville Bulldogs suffered a 68-33 loss to New Palestine in the opening game of the season. The Bulldogs trailed 19-9 at the conclusion of the first quarter and was then outscored 24-8 in the second. The second half was played much closer. Maggie Jelinek score eight points and grabbed 11 rebounds followed by Molly Gesell with seven points. Nora Wiedeman was third on the team six points.
